Inside the museum, there is a section for experiencing traditional Japanese lighting fixtures, traditional Japanese bedding, and Japan's premier traditional culture museum, where you can try out silk linen futons and zazen cushions used by aristocrats and samurai, light lighting fixtures such as short poles and Kyowa candles used at tea ceremonies, grind matcha green tea in a Momoyama-era stone mill, and try on Rikyu geta sandals and zori sandals. The exhibition is open from 8am to around 5pm. The experience starts from around 5am and includes Japanese cuisine, catering, tea ceremony, kimono, etiquette, calligraphy, and crafts. Zen is served from around 5pm until 8pm or midnight, and from midnight or 3am until 5pm. During this time, you can do work, zazen, religious services, and Zen meals.
